This is my daily Bible school homework for today, posted here with a hope to benefit the reader!
The homework: Be ready to present a verse that you had read and to share your understanding
when requested!
I came across Moses' prayer while reading Steps to Christ earlier this morning and read the comment by Ellen G White about the verse; Deuteronomy 33 : 25, "...as thy days, so shall thy strength be."
This is part of Moses' prayer of blessing to Asher; I don't know much about Asher, and about the blessing to Asher Moses says, "As thy days, so shall thy strength be." The reading comments that the days and the strength are proportionate; the reading continues, the trial will not exceed the strength that shall be given us to bear it.
The prayer of blessing to Asher was so that his days would be supplied with the strength that was proportional to the trials he would face in those days. This is a beautiful promise so that I can put my trust knowing that as I start a day, there is proportionate strength supplied to face the trials for that day, and this also applies to anyone who puts their trust in God. The reading says, "Then let us take up our work just where we find it, believing that whatever may come, strength proportionate to the trial will be given."
What a beautiful promise to start each and every day knowing and believing that the strength to endure and finish each and every day is proportionate to all the trials that will be faced in those days!
