Verses worth contemplation this morning
1Pe 2:21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:
• We are supposed to follow Christ as our example, who humbled himself and became obedient since his birth to his death on the cross!
1Pe 2:22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:
= no guile in their mind that is expressed in the mouth!
= Rev 14:5, regarding 144,000 = no guile
= impossible if it is NOT holy ghost in the mind;
1Pe 2:23 Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:
= when Jesus suffered, it is no that we do not have to suffer and receive eternal death!
1Pe 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
= this is the who is our pattern
1Pe 2:25 For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.
= this is the reward when we sacrifice just like our Lord and Savior
