2 Corinthians 13 : 5, Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?
Examine yourselves..
We are to examine ourselves!
How would I objectively grade myself?
God wants us to realize our true condition!
Examine yourself, do I know my own condition?
Revelation 3 : 17, Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods,
and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and
miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
Will I honestly grade myself as being wretched, miserable, poor, blind and naked?
The verse says what I need to examine myself of?
Am I in the faith? Well, do I know what faith is?
is it true it's not enough to just believe without putting it to practice?
is it true that without putting it to practice is not faith?
is faith still faith without seeing the obedience?
is the obedience also faith?
obedience is evidence of faith?
is there faith that has no evidence without obedience?
means, to say faith it is automatically to include obedience
without even mention the word obedience!
So, to examine myself that I am in faith? is to evaluate whether I am in obedience
or not? And this is what I need to evaluate and examine myself as long as I am
honest to myself!
Those who are HONEST are the ones w ho are in the right direction to be saved!
Salvation is an individual matter, and it makes sense why it is individual since all
needs to honestly prove own self!
First, examine; then prove!
What does it mean to prove? when it's put to the test? Are you what you are
in all circumstances?
next question, know ye not your own self? Where did i ever hear these words?
KNOW YE NOT your body is the temple of God? (1 Cor 3 : 16)
If I'm a satan worshiper do I need to hear this?
of course! where is the verse?
We are all created by God using his breath, meaning our breath belongs
to God and how can i use it against God?
No ye not ye are the temple of God?
some will say i worship satan so how can I be temple of God?
John 16 : 12, I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear
them now.
John 8 : 30, As he spake these words, many believed on him. Then said
Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word,
then are ye my disciples indeed;
in the faith = i hear, but when I cannot connect with what i hear, then i am
NOT in the faith!
How do I REMEMBER what i hear? it has become a PATH in my mind!
2 Peter 1 : 12, Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance
of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth.
APPLICATION
IF I'M NOT REVIEWING ALL THE LESSONS AND PUT IN REMEMBRANCE
IN MY HEART, THEN I AM NOT SERIOUS WITH MY SALVATION!
EVEN DOING HOURS AND HOURS OF BIBLE STUDY MEANS NOTHING
IF I DON'T REPEAT, CONTEMPLATE AND REVIEW OVER AND OVER...
Matthew 7 : 24, Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and
doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
hear then do...
but how to do when not understood?
how can it be understood when instruction comes only once,
and not reviewed...go over and over to really understand?
How is it JESUS Christ in me
and Christ in me is only based on...
