Review of Ezekiel 28 : 15,
Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. (Ezekiel 28:15)
THREE important points,
Thou (Lucifer) - was created
- was perfect
- ‘till iniquity found
in one WORD = INIQUITY
What is iniquity? websterdictionary1828.com
[Latin iniquitas; in and oequitas, equity.]
In-justice
Un-righteousness
Deviation from rectitude
sin or crime, wickedness, any act of injustice
What is the basic understanding of iniquity in this verse?
we can see that this “word” is contrasted to the other quality
found in Lucifer
PERFECT (POSITIVE)———> <———INIQUITY (NEGATIVE)
Perfect until iniquity found!
INIQUITY originated in the mind of Lucifer!
So when there is iniquity, it becomes totally opposite of perfection!
INIQUITY in Lucifer had resulted EVERYTHING THAT WE NOW
FACE ‘till TODAY!
From NON-existed to become existed = CREATION
(Lucifer had created SOMETHING EVIL)
The opposite of the creation of God!
So Satan had “authored” Iniquity!
Bahasa Indonesia = Setan mengarang (karang-karang) yang
tidak ada menjadi benar!
sehingga sama saja dengan = FITNAH, meng-ada-kan walaupun
sebenarnya TIDAK ada!

1SP 28.2
The hour for joyful, happy songs of praise to God and his dear Son had come. Satan had led the heavenly choir. He had raised the first note, then all the angelic host united with him, and glorious strains of music had resounded through Heaven in honor of God and his dear Son. But now, instead of strains of sweetest music, discord and angry words fall upon the ear of the great rebel leader. Where was he? Was it not all a horrible dream? Was he shut out of Heaven? Were the gates of Heaven never more to open and admit him? The hour of worship draws nigh, when bright and holy angels bow before the Father. No more will he unite in heavenly song. No more will he bow in reverence and holy awe before the presence of the eternal God. Could he be again as he was when he was pure, true and loyal, gladly would he yield up the claims of his authority. But he was lost! beyond redemption, for his presumptuous rebellion! And this was not all; he had led others to rebellion and to the same lost condition with himself—angels, who had never thought to question the will of Heaven, or refuse obedience to the law of God till he had put it into their minds, presenting before them that they might enjoy a greater good, a higher and more glorious liberty. This had been the sophistry whereby he had deceived them. A responsibility now rests upon him from which he would fain be released. – {1SP 28.2}

PL, Book V, 553-586, 587-620: “Of angels by imperial summons called. Innumerable before the Almighty’s throne … Hear, all ye angels … Hear my decree, which unrevoked shall stand. This day I have begot whom I declare My only Son, and on this holy hill Him have anointed, whom ye now behold at my right hand. Your head I Him appoint; and by Myself I have sworn.”
5. Satan assembled the angelic host

They clearly set forth that Christ was the Son of God, existing with Him before the angels were created; and that He had ever stood at the right hand of God, and His mild, loving authority had not heretofore been questioned; … They anxiously sought to move him to renounce his wicked design and yield submission to their Creator… Lucifer refused to listen.”
PL, Book V. 791-824, 825-858: “O argument blasphemous false, and proud! Words which no ear ever to hear in heaven expected, least of all from thee, ingrate, in place thyself so high above thy seers. Canst thou with impious obloquy condemn the just decree of God, pronounced, and sworn, that to His only Son, by right endued with regal scepter, every soul in heaven shall bend the knee…Unjust thou sayest, …Shalt thou give law to God? Shalt thou dispute with Him the points of liberty, who made thee what thou art, and formed the powers of heaven,…But to grant it thee unjust, that equal over equals Monarch reign. Equal to Him begotten Son, by whom as by His word, the Mighty Father made all things, even thee; and all the Spirits of heaven… Cease this impious rage, and tempt not these; but hasten to appease the incensed Father, and the incensed Son while pardon may be found in time besought. So spake the fervent angel, but none seconded.”

Lucifer’s Rebellion
1. Lucifer had a closest resemblance to God
Ellen White (1827-1915): “God made him [Lucifer] good and beautiful, as near as possible like himself” (RH, Sep 24, 1901).
2. The cause of Lucifer’s rebellion
Ellen White (1827-1915): “The great Creator assembled the heavenly host, that he might in the presence of all the angels confer special honour upon His Son….The Father then made known that it was ordained by Himself that Christ, His Son, should be equal with Himself,…His Son He had invested with authority to command the heavenly host. Especially was His Son to work in union with Himself in the anticipated creation of the earth,…Lucifer was envious and jealous of Jesus Christ….He thought….why should Christ thus be honoured before himself?….[So] They rebelled against the Son” (SR, pp. 13-15, 1947).
3. Satan in deep thought
Ellen White (1827-1915): “As I beheld him, his chin was resting upon his left hand. He appeared to be in a deep thought” (Story Redemption, p. 46, 1947; Early Writings, p. 153, 1882).
4. Christ has been made equal with the Father
Ellen White (1827-1915): “God is the Father of Christ; Christ is the Son of God. To Christ has been given an exalted position. He has been made equal with the Father. All the counsels of God are opened to His Son” (8T, p. 268, 1904).
5. Loyal angels of God counseled Lucifer
Ellen White (1827-1915): “Angels that were loyal and true sought to reconcile this mighty, rebellious angel to the will of his Creator. They justified the act of God in conferring honor upon Jesus Christ, and with forcible reasoning sought to convince Satan that no less honor was his now than before the Father had proclaimed the honor which he had conferred upon his Son. They clearly set forth that Jesus was the Son of God, existing with him before the angels were created; and that he had ever stood at the right hand of God,…They anxiously sought to move Satan to renounce his wicked design and yield submission to their Creator; …Satan refused to listen” (1SP, pp. 19, 20, 1870).
Ellen White (1827-1915): “Then Satan exultantly pointed to his sympathizers, comprising nearly on half of all the angels, and exclaimed, “These are with me! Will you expel these also, and make such a void in heaven?” (Story of Redemption, p. 18)
Ellen White said that God allowed Lucifer to prove his strength with Jesus: “He would give the rebellious an equal chance to measure strength and might with His son and His loyal angels” (1Sp, p. 21, 1870; SR, p. 17, 19, 1667).
6. Satan became the monarch of the world
Ellen White (1827-1915): “Having conquered Adam, the monarch of the world…he would establish his throne and be monarch of the world” (RH, 1874).
