Jhn 10:30 I and my Father are one.
Expound this verse, based only on available information in the verse;
There are 3 aspects to my observation,
1) Break-down of the verse, word by word, and it's meaning;
2) Combine the words, one word at a time and write what is implied?
3) Prove that the implied word has a written counter-part in the verse!
My observation:
1) I = this is the first person in the verse; so far do not know this first person;
It implies who is not referring to another person;
What is written, the person introduces self as "I"
2) and = is a conjunction, kata penghubung, which connects the word before it, I, and the next word, "my".
3) my = this is a supplied word, yet I am going to still put consideration to this word, "my", a possessive
adjective (kepunyaan) used to indicate ownership or association to the previous word "I".
4) Father, by definition, a male parent; father of a child
Implies, this is the Father of someone else, and implies "I" is the child;
What is written: I calls the Father, my Father; that means I must be the child;
and Father has a child, called"I".
By calling Father, that implies the caller is the child;
and this unity of Father and Son do NOT imply ONE God with multiple persons;
I says, Father is His Father, and that I and Father ARE ONE
meaning they are TWO of them, who constitute ONE in something common!
What does a Father and a Son have in common?
FOR SURE NOT PERSONALITY;
IT CAN BE SAFELY SAID,THE MAKE UP OF THE FATHER AND THE SON
ARE OF THE SAME NATURE.
5) are = present simple of "be"used with you, we, they, and in this case "we" = I and Father",
indicates plurality, more than one are involved, minimum of two;
6) ONE = single entity, not nothing and less than 2;
what it doesn't say: doesn't say one in what?
implies it is one in something other than PERSON/personality;
what is written is ONE (I and my Father) this is written,
and CANNOT be one in person.
I and Father are ONE
CANNOT BE ONE IN PERSON
because the WORD "and"
They (I and Father) are ONE in something else OTHER THAN PERSON/ personality
