When the verse is contracted to its essence,
CAUSETH TO RECEIVE
The cause is the reason to receive something!
There is a cause ( to be determined what it is)
that results in receiving something ( also to be determined of what it is)
What is the conclusion of DA 129.4 and Matthew 4 : 9
DA 129.4, When Satan declared to Christ, The kingdom and glory of the world are delivered unto me, and to whomsoever I will I give it, he stated what was true only in part, and he declared it to serve his own purpose of deception. Satan's dominion was that wrested from Adam, but Adam was the vicegerent of the Creator. His was not an independent rule. The earth is God's, and He has committed all things to His Son. Adam was to reign subject to Christ. When Adam betrayed his sovereignty into Satan's hands, Christ still remained the rightful King. Thus the Lord had said to King Nebuchadnezzar, “The Most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever He will.” Daniel 4:17. Satan can exercise his usurped authority only as God permits.
Matthew 4 : 9, And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.
Satan has usurped authority he took away from Adam
(this God had allowed)
however, when Satan used this usurped authority and requests
to be worshiped, this was an ABUSE of WHAT GOD HAD NEVER GAVE TO HIM
Satan NEVER HAD THE POWER NOR AUTHORITY
to be worshipped!
But he used it as if he had the power and authority!
As a result, Matthew 4 : 10, Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

Even I let you usurp the authority/power of Adam, but that authority/power IS to be used to FEAR GOD!
